Still a courier. Yawn fest...

I saw the wonderful Radio Music Theatre last evening perform their musical comedy 'Fear of Ducks.' I was idylic. My nephew, Phillip, from Waco was down with his gf Megan and Terry, my wife, was next to me.
I've been thinking alot of re-do of my condominium. I also still like sobriety and A. A. so I won't get off of that cause.
I got nothing. I still write some infantile story line on the dead drug dealer Pablo Escobar I want to draw in comic form. I found a printer who can publish this cheaply.
I consider my self to be mentally inhibited. I'm so very glad to share this with you.
Have a good day. Roger

Two sites of authors I admire

http://helllllen.org/ http://www.michaelacolette.com/ I been reading the zines I enjoy. I'm still very much amazed at graphic illustrator software. I suppose I'll be doodling in Barnes and Noble before attending an A. A. meeting. Ciao, belas

Happy New Year to my blog spot family

So, things are well at my humble condo in Houston. The chi chi birds are eating sun flower seeds. I am slowly getting my life in order. I have to sort through many boxes of video tapes and books on the livingroom floor. I have a book on Confucius that I love reading. He seems intense. The drawing scene is not happening for me especially when I have taxes and house work to consume my time. I still research and buy ‘zines.’ I brings me much pleasure. I will keep chugging along. I have no idea how this year will end but I wish many of you a happy new year. I celebrate the coming of the Chinese calendar year, Tiger, on February fourth, my wife’s birthday. Celebrate. Enjoy. Love, Roger

Humble Pie

I guess I have a lot to learn. I bought some more 'zines.' I am searching for software to 'grayscale' whatever little work I draw. I'm driving around as a courier. Ball breaking taxes this time of year. It's a miracle I avoid audition with the government. I still have asthma with the five cats around. I am using 'oil of oregano.' I'm a 54 year old, white boy mess. Anyway, I see these artists doing fancy transfers with acetate, blows my mind. My brain isn't hard wired to use fancy procedures like that. I'm a simpleton. I got this new netbook from Gateway. Works fine. I'll be attending a few A.A. meetings very soon. When television extorts reality then I live in humility. I'll live. I just wish I could create better plots and write better monologues. I'm forming an abstract on drug king pins for a small zine. It's submerged in my subconscious. Tally ho

Narcisist, I

I've some old zines I read. I'm hoping to order one more for my collection. Anyway, I'm not drawing nearly enough. I've more to do in the way of developing a book. I've seen a couple of copy shops and they're rates. Onward through the fog, as Oat Willie used to say. Peace.

Hump day

I am driving some more today. Boring. I'll listen to satellite radio. I finish a drawing for a friend in New Jersey. I have all sorts of obligations. An hour a day I set aside to phoning people. It's a drag. Insurance, maintenance, contract workers, dealers. I have an interest in some bookshops, art classes. I have purchased a bunch of zines and now have to read some of them. It's a mess. Loserdom, 30 sloth, the rag. I'll resubscribe to Broken Pencil magazine in Canada. Jesus. I'll have to write two checks today. I hope to read you guys blogs. I have my little Texas life to look after. Movies I saw last weekend: Drag Me to Hell, The Hangover, The Soloist. My wife and I heard Joe Cocker recently and tonight is an old Texas fav, Roky Ericson but I think it's sold out so Mrs. won't drag me out past midnight like she has a mind to. Later
