The chi chi birds are eating sun flower seeds. I am slowly getting my life in order. I have to sort through many boxes of video tapes and books on the livingroom floor. I have a book on Confucius that I love reading. He seems intense. The drawing scene is not happening for me especially when I have taxes and house work to consume my time. I still research and buy ‘zines.’ I brings me much pleasure. I will keep chugging along. I have no idea how this year will end but I wish many of you a happy new year. I celebrate the coming of the Chinese calendar year, Tiger, on February fourth, my wife’s birthday. Celebrate. Enjoy. I have a couple of things to draw. I'm slow. I spend some time cleaning house and reading. I'm lazy. There's a coffee shop, 'Cafe Brazil,' in Houston. They can boast live music. It's very modern and cozy for the locals. Next door is Domy books. I stopped by Sound Exchange but their zines are few. They do have a large vinyl LP inventory. Also DVDs and more LPs. I'm a mess. Coffee hound</title><content type='html'>&lt;span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;"&gt;Hi, good peoples. I'm Roger, your courier for the evening. I spent the day riding my bicycle to the New York deli on Hillcroft. The cream herring was selling for $ 3.25 a small jar. I got two pumpernickel and one rye bagel. Noticed I was dead broke. Rode back to my local chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous where I sweat all over their imitation leather arm chair until I could get my second wind. I took it to the condo after that, a beat down, inferior doofus. I drank coffee, you see. Coffee enema is the next step in my sobriety program. That's not entirely true. It all comes out the end. All's well that ends well. So, I recently had a revelation of sorts. I've been purchasing these little novels, zines they're called. It's exciting. The ones I like have some left skewered populist agenda. Two in particular, Loserdom and 30 Day Sloth, mention anarchy as the outlook of choice. The absence of government or law seems surely like a healthy alternative to today's overbearing loss of individual rights in the United States. What's it called? Oppression? In fact, the United States is in no way ready to protest something as simple as the medical system. We're the nation of sheep. Media is going to view actions as healthy to the voters. Media wants to censor. Speaking for the common good, there is no first amendment right of free speech in the major advertising markets and I'll try to wrap this up: I'm getting pissed off here but this is so important I'll curse out the Starbuck's barrista, again. If individuals can print zines and sell them through on line companies (I'll try to list these) this democracy will not survive. I'm willing to read small press. I've completely lost faith in the major publishers, the Houston Chronicle, Fox News. The medium is the message. That message today is go **** yourself.
